



Yield Advisor Overview
The Yield Advisor is a self-service dashboard within Commerce Grid that surfaces key optimizations related to integration health, account setup, and demand readiness. It enables publishers to identify issues and uncover monetization opportunities without relying on manual support or guesswork.
The Yield Advisor simplifies complex reporting into clear, actionable insights, enabling publishers to verify that inventory is correctly configured to attract demand and trade efficiently.
The Yield Advisor surfaces a focused set of actionable metrics, grouped around three core themes:
Integration health (e.g. request quality, ads.txt compliance)
Demand readiness (e.g. GPID coverage, identity signals)
Monetization opportunities (e.g. missing or under‑configured settings)
Historically, yield optimization required poring over reports and working with Support to analyze setup. With the Yield Advisor, these manual processes are transformed into clear, guided actions presented as easy-to-read cards, supported by detailed guides, and tracked via a progress bar.

How to use the Yield Advisor
This guide walks you through how to use the Yield Advisor to review your setup, apply recommended optimizations, and track progress over time.
Upon accessing the Yield Advisor in Commerce Grid, you will see several metric cards detailing different aspects of your account setup where optimization and fine-tuning could be beneficial.
Each metric card provides:
Context on why the metric is important, and how successful changes to the metric help grow yield
A clear signal (represented as a percentage) showing your level of completion for the given task
Access to documentation to support optimization of the metric
1. Familiarize yourself with your dashboard and cards.
To begin, review each card on your dashboard.
You will notice there are different levels of importance for each card:
Required actions are the first priority; these must be taken if you wish to continue monetizing with Commerce Grid.
Recommended are primary actions, things that have an outsized impact on how successful you will be in Commerce Grid.
You can sort cards by category (for example, Inventory Management or Video) using the dropdown above the dashboard.
Each card also includes a link to a Guide, hosted in the Commerce Grid Knowledge Base. These guides explain the metric in detail and provide the technical steps needed to implement the recommended changes.
2. Using the guides and making changes.
The Yield Advisor is a fully self-service tool. You can review recommendations and apply changes at your own pace.
To get started:
Select a metric card you want to address.
Click the Guide link on the card.
Follow the instructions in the guide specific to that metric.
If applicable, the guide will link to the technical documentation for your integration type. Be sure to follow the instructions that match your setup.
All changes must be implemented directly in your integration.
If you’re unable to implement a change using the guide, you can contact your Commerce Grid support team for assistance.
3. Track your progress.
Automation is a core capability of the Yield Advisor. As you make changes and updated parameters begin flowing through the bidstream, the Yield Advisor automatically evaluates your setup and updates your progress.
You can track progress in two places:
Per-card progress- Each metric card includes a progress meter (percentage) showing how successfully that specific requirement has been implemented.
Overall progress- At the top of the dashboard, an overall progress meter summarizes completion across all tasks (displayed as a percentage).
Progress indicators are updated daily. Same-day or real-time updates are not currently supported.
4. Use the Yield Advisor on an ongoing basis.
At launch, the Yield Advisor includes a focused set of tasks covering essential areas, including ads.txt, video configuration, and core integration health.
New tasks will be added over time. We recommend checking your dashboard regularly to identify new optimization opportunities as they become available.

Why it matters
Clear visibility into the onboarding status
Many publishers are unsure whether they are fully onboarded or still missing critical steps. The Yield Advisor removes this ambiguity by showing, at a glance, how much of their traffic meets Commerce Grid requirements.
Faster path to revenue
Even small integration gaps such as missing GPIDs, incomplete ads.txt records, or absent identity signals can limit buyer eligibility and reduce yield. The Yield Advisor highlights these gaps early so publishers can address them before they impact monetization.
Actionable guidance other than diagnostics
Unlike traditional reporting dashboards, the Yield Advisor is designed to:
Explain why a metric matters
Indicate what action is needed to improve it
Link directly to relevant documentation or setup instructions
This positions the Yield Advisor as a guidance layer, not just a monitoring tool.
Scalable self-service experience
By enabling publishers to identify and address common onboarding issues, the Yield Advisor:
Reduces dependency on account managers for basic setup questions
Lowers support volume for onboarding‑related tickets
Scales Commerce Grid support across long‑tail publisher accounts
